Street in the Park is a free, outdoor event aimed at everyone interested in music and the performing arts.
For your chance to win and perform in the final, please record a 15-20 minute DJ mix and upload it to Mixcloud or Soundcloud and register below.

This competition is for up & coming DJs, not DJs who have been paid to DJ in the past.

We Out Here festival, 2025
Every year, Street in the Park takes 3 DJ competition winners to compete in a grand final at We Out Here festival. This year will be the third time we are offering this chance, with a WOH representative on the judges panel. Our partnership also extends to activities within the festival, providing rap, dance and DJ workshops in the family area. See how our young DJs got on in 2025 below......
After winning the Up & Coming DJ competition in 2024 and the grand final at WOH 2024, young DJ Lola returned to We Out Here Festival 2025 with a slick, pumping house set to bring our takeover of the wonderful Love Serve bar to a close... AND we were graced with a performance of her very own rap! Wow, there is no end to her talents!
Here's another of our DJ competition winners, DJ Era Era delivering his trademark high energy set at We Out Here Festival 2025. Not enough to win the grand prize this time, but an impressive festival debut and a load of bookings in the diary!
DJ ADzSHA came and did the business again, this time at We Out Here Festival 2025 in our grand final. Oozing confidence, his set was crammed with anthems/classics and mixed with consummate ease. Narrowly missing out on the big prize, but he should be extremely proud of what he has achieved in such a short space of time. Big crowd favourite!
WINNER! We Out Here Festival Up & Coming DJ Competition GRAND FINAL WINNER! On Sunday 17th of August 2025 at We Out Here Festival, DJ FlooftheFox did it again, mesmerising both the crowd and the judges with another stylish, dubstep set... this time with a few well-placed and recognisable vocal samples to hook everyone in. All the hard work has paid off for FlooftheFox, entering for the third year running (after not being placed at all for the first two years). Inspirational!

2025 winner - FloofTheFox
Winner of the £100 cash prize & entry to the WOH grand final
Winner - Up & Coming DJ Competition Winner 2025, Floof wins £100 cash prize and entry to the We Out Here grand final. Floof dared to be different on the day, with a super stylish set of dubstep. He has entered for the past two years and never placed, but he didn't give up, dug deeper and practiced harder - winning the big prize third time around.

2025 winner - DJ Era Era
Winner - Entry to WOH grand final
Winner - 15 year old DJ Era Era caused quite a stir when he closed the competition as the last performer of the day. And what a set! With the crowd in the palm of his hand from start to finish, Era Era has won a spot at this year's grand final at We Out Here festival in August.

2025 winner - Sam Carey
Winner of the £50 cash prize & DJ booking at Anonymous festival
Winner - Sam Carey had been honing his craft in his bedroom since lockdown but had never played in public, until now... and what a debut! Emma Scott had £50 cash and a booking later in the year waiting for him. Shame he had gone home before the results were announced so missed the photoshoot and left Emma hanging!

2025 winner - ADzSHA
Joint winner of entry to the WOH grand final & Air107.2 radio set
Winner - ADzSHA decided to have a go at DJing after coming along to Street in the Park last year. He did well, scooping not one but two prizes; a guest mix on Air107.2FM and he got through to the grand final at We Out Here in August.

2025 winner - Ribop
Winner of the £50 Vinyl Van voucher
Winner - Ribop wowed the judges with a confident performance, winning himself a £50 voucher to spend at Dorchester's very own Vinyl Van. Here he is with the one and only Isaiah Dreads.

Winner of the £100 cash prize
Winner - Up & Coming DJ Competition Winner 2024, DJ Taiko wins £100 cash prize. Well done Taiko - he entered last year and didn't win anything so he came back harder, faster, stronger this year and completely smashed it
2024 winner - Lola
Joint winner of entry to the We Out Here grand final & Air107.2 radio set
Winner - 12 year old joint winner of entry to the grand final at We Out Here festival 2024 and guest mix on Air 107.2 FM. Playing a well-chosen selection of pumping, house anthems which caught the eye of the judges, Lola went on to be crowned outright winner of the Up & Coming DJ Competition at We Out Here festival 2024.

Joint winner of entry to the grand final at We Out Here & Air107.2 radio set
Winner - Joint winner of entry in to the grand final at We Out Here festival 2024 and also a guest mix on Air 107.2 FM. Champz played 4x4 & progressive house which the crowd and judges enjoyed at both Street in the Park and We Out Here festival.
2024 winner - Leon
Winner of paid Anonymous gig
Winner - Here's DJ Leon performing a UK garage set, which worked perfectly with the sun at Street in the Park and really started the party. He won a paid gig at Anonymous festival later this year, courtesy of Emma Scott - nice!
2024 winner - DJ Bean
Won entry to the grand final at We Out Here
Winner - a super-slick, tech house set catapulted this young DJ into the grand final at We Out Here festival later in the summer.
2023 winner - Max
Joint winner of the £100 cash prize
Winner - here's Max with his share of the £100 first-place prize money after his incredible set. He took the atmosphere at the event to the next level with his cheeky remixes and banging bassline tracks. Well done Max, a well-deserved winner!!

Joint winners of the £100 cash prize
Winners - here's Hxrlxy & A1 with Andy Cleeton (former Resident DJ at the Hacienda, Manchester), after receiving their prize of a live set on Air 107.2fm. The lads won the crowd (and Andy Cleeton) over with a party set of bassline bangers!
2023 winner - Salad DnB
Won the DJ gig at the Nothe Fort this summer
Winner - Here's DJ Salad DnB with local legend Isaiah Dreads, after winning his prize of a DJ set at the Nothe Fort and £100!! Isaiah was blown away by Salad DnB's clever set and he had no hesitation in handing him the gig because "he will smash it"! We agree!!
2023 winner - DJ Zoid
Won a visit to Global Academy
Winner - here's DJ Zoid's girlfriend (Zoidette?) collecting his prize of a day at Global Academy, where he will get a little insight into carving out a career in radio, TV, digital, advertising, and the social media industries. He certainly made an impressive start at our competition, wowing the judges with a slamming DnB set and confidently grabbing the mic to interact with the audience. Well done Zoid!! (Shame he had to rush back to work and missed the winners being announced)!!

2023 winner - Autumn
Won £50 and a set at Anonymous Festival this summer
Winner - Here's 15 year old DJ Autumn being presented with her prize of £50 and a DJ set at Anonymous Festival from Emma Scott. On the day Autumn played a brilliant eclectic set using vinyl on the Technics 1210s. It would be good to get more playing records next year! Well done Autumn!!
